The brief & the work.

A logistics operator faced escalating maximum demand charges driven by dock equipment, cold storage and lighting starting in the same window every morning.

Joule instrumented the sites, profiled the morning demand spike and introduced a simple load-staggering schedule on real data. The client now tracks demand in near-real time and avoids the artificial peaks that were costing the most.

What was delivered

  • Peak demand tracked in near-real time
  • Staggered start schedule implemented on measured data
  • Maximum demand charges reduced

Benefits for the customer

  • Lower maximum demand charges
  • Visibility before the spike happens
  • Site schedule built on evidence
